Love is often described as sacrifice.
As devotion.
As endurance.
And somewhere along the way, many begin to believe that pain is proof of love.
A single nail lies before us, stained red. It no longer resembles a tool. It has become a wound.
The question written beneath it is deceptively simple:
"Is love supposed to hurt?"
The work offers no answer.
Because the answer depends on which love we mean.
The love that asks us to grow may hurt our pride.
The love that demands our silence, dignity, or identity is no longer love.
Sometimes the hardest act of love is not staying.
It is recognizing the difference between sacrifice and suffering.
