He Spoke of Love

He spoke of love—
they beat him.
He spoke of peace—
they raised the cross.
He spoke of humanity—
they drove in nails.
He Spoke of Love reflects on the recurring violence directed toward those who speak of compassion, peace, and human dignity. The found iron nail appears both as a physical object and as a historical symbol. Removed from its ordinary function, it becomes a witness to the contradiction between what humanity claims to value and how it treats those who embody those values.
