He Tried to Straighten a Crooked World
Some people spend their lives trying to repair what was broken long before they arrived.
They confront injustice, cruelty, lies, corruption, and violence—not because they believe they will succeed, but because they cannot look away.
The irony is quiet and painful.
The world often bends those who try hardest to straighten it.
The twisted nail becomes a portrait of that sacrifice. It no longer resembles the perfect object it once was. It bears the shape of every force that resisted it.
Perhaps failure is not the tragedy.
Perhaps becoming bent while refusing to become indifferent is what gives a life its meaning.
