Time did this

Philosophy of the Work
Time Did This
No hammer struck this nail.
No hand bent it.
No violence shaped it.
Time did.
Rust is one of the few artists that never stops working. Quietly, patiently, it changes every surface it touches. It leaves no dramatic moment—only evidence that time has passed.
The same is true for us.
We rarely notice the day we become older, harder, softer, wiser, or more fragile. We only notice the result.
This nail is not broken.
It has simply lived.
Every mark on its surface is a record of years that no one can return.
Perhaps the greatest sculptor has never been human.
Perhaps it has always been time.
