Love rarely ends in a single moment. More often, it leaves quietly, while the other person remains among the fragments.
A nail pierces a delicate golden heart, while a pair of wings lies broken below. The wound is not only the departure itself but everything that remained unsaid, unseen, or ignored. The poem speaks of absence, yet the objects speak of its consequence.
The nail represents the single event that changes everything. The heart symbolizes trust offered without protection. The fallen wings are the part of ourselves that no longer knows how to fly after loss.
This work is not about accusation. It is about the silent aftermath of love—when one person has already drifted away, and the other is left learning to live with invisible wounds. Every broken wing once belonged to someone who believed they could fly together.
