Philosophy of the Work
Some people are forgotten because they died. Others are forgotten while they are still alive.
A single rusted nail rests in the corner of an otherwise empty space. The word Forgotten floats above it, separated by silence. Nothing surrounds the object because memory itself has already begun to disappear.
The nail once had a purpose. It held, connected, and carried weight. Once removed, it became invisible—not because it changed, but because no one looked at it anymore.
This work reflects the quiet tragedy of being erased from memory. It reminds us that oblivion is rarely sudden. It begins with fewer conversations, fewer names spoken aloud, until absence becomes indistinguishable from never having existed at all.
